Welcome to the Talk Piqua Community Hub!
We're excited to have you as a valued member of our vibrant community. Our forum is intended to be a space where open and respectful discussions thrive. Our aim is not to censor anyone, but to ensure a positive and engaging environment for all, we kindly ask you to adhere to the following posting guidelines:
1. Be Respectful:
Treat all members with courtesy and respect. Disagreements are natural, but express your opinions in a constructive manner.
Avoid personal attacks, offensive language, or discriminatory remarks. Keep discussions focused on ideas and topics.
2. Stay on Topic:
Keep your posts relevant to the Community Hub's categories and discussions. Off-topic posts may be moved or removed.
If you have a new topic to discuss, consider starting a new thread to maintain clarity and organization. The Classifieds category is not meant for debating or discussions. Replies that are not related to the original thread will be removed. If you wish to start a discussion relating to the thread, either PM the thread author to discuss it in private or start a new thread in a relevant discussion category.
3. Quality Over Quantity:
Prioritize thoughtful and meaningful contributions over excessive posting.
Avoid spamming, repetitive content, or one-word responses that don't add value to the discussion.
4. Fact-Checking and Citing Sources:
When sharing information or making claims, provide accurate details and credible sources where possible.
Engage in fact-based discussions and consider the validity of the information you share. We're not going to fact check your posts, but others may. Don't give them that opportunity.
5. Be Mindful of Language:
Keep language clean and appropriate for all ages. Avoid excessive use of profanity or inappropriate content.
Remember that Talk Piqua is a family-friendly environment.
6. Privacy and Personal Information:
Respect the privacy of others. Do not share personal information, contact details, or any sensitive data.
Refrain from posting confidential or private content without proper authorization. Public information may be acceptable if it is relevant to the discussion at hand, but keep in mind that even some public information doesn't need to be publicized.
7. Copyright and Plagiarism:
Respect copyright laws and intellectual property. When sharing content from external sources, provide proper attribution and links.
Do not post copyrighted material without permission.
8. Be Patient and Constructive:
Engage in discussions with patience and understanding. Listen to others and provide thoughtful feedback.
If you disagree with a viewpoint, express your perspective constructively and encourage meaningful dialogues.
9. Report Inappropriate Content:
If you come across content that violates these guidelines, or if you believe a post needs attention, please report it to the moderators.
10. Respect Forum Moderators:
Our moderators are fellow members of our community who are dedicating their free time to ensure a smooth and respectful environment. We hand pick our moderation team to ensure all of our moderators will be fair, friendly, and effective. Follow their instructions and decisions and in return they will be respectful to you. In the event of a conflict with a moderation decision, contact us and we will discuss it as a team to come to a final decision. While we will try our best to come to a mutally-agreeable resolution, the Talk Piqua Administration Team has the final say on all moderation decisions.
