Tuesday night after the city commission meeting, we usually go over to Referee's for dinner (good food!) but decided to go to Crooked Handle instead...my buddy had been there several times before and spoke very highly of them, but this was my first visit. It was really good! It was a really slow night, though I've heard weekends are usually pretty busy. The atmosphere is different. It is setup like a sit-down restaurant but it's kind of a combination between a sit-down restaurant and a fast food joint. You go in and find a seat, then you order your food up and drinks up at the bar. They will get you your drinks and then your food gets brought out once it's ready, which the service was plenty fast.
I had chicken tenders and tater tots with chili on them...the seasoning they use is really good and the entire meal was great. My buddy swears they have some of the best burgers in town (his looked good!). Their chips they serve with the burgers are HUGE . My buddy also got a pizza to go. I was full but I tried a small piece and it tasted really good as well. If you've never been, give it a shot.
I'm really curious to see how they thrive once Lock 9 gets completed and opens back up.
